FAA Air Travel Regulations
Portable oxygen concentrators make traveling easier for people needing medical oxygen. Regulations, however, make it necessary to plan ahead to ensure that you meet the requirements of your airline carrier.
Although some portable oxygen concentrators have been approved by the FAA for use on a plane, you should still check with your airline to find out if they have any specific requirements and to notify them that you will be traveling with your oxygen concentrator. Likewise, cruise lines and rail carriers may also have specific regulations regarding your oxygen equipment and should be consulted well in advance of your travel date.
